India Bowlers restrict Australia to 273 for 7 at Stumps of Day 2


David Warner and Ed Cowan made good start for Aussies but could not make it to big score. India Bowlers fight back well. Australia scored 273 for 7 at the end of the Day two in the 3rd Test on Friday. Steve Smith unbeaten on 58 runs and Mitchell Starc not out on 20.

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Aussies openers made solid start, David Warner and Ed Cowan put on 139 runs partnership for 1st wicket. David Warner dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja for 71 runs and followed by Skipper Michael Clarke for duck. Soon after Phillip Hughes also removed by Pragyan Ojha. At one stage Aussies slipped 151 for 3.

Ed Cowan and Steve Smith rebuild the Innings. Ed Cowan out for 86 runs. Ishant Sharma strike twice in 94 th over he got Brad Haddin for 21 and Moises Heriques for duck inside three deliveries. Ravindra Jadeja claimed for 3 for 56 and Ishant Sharma take 2 for 41. Ashwin and Ojha got two wickets each.

Early wickets leads England in Control on Day Two


England upset New Zealand three times before stumps to enforce themselves more on the second Test Day two in Wellington. In reply to the visitors 465 runs, New Zealand were 66 for 3 in 33 overs on Friday and still trail by 399 runs and the repeated threat of a bristling three fast bowling attack.

Peter Fulton dismissed for one, from 24 tight balls, caught behind off James Anderson. Stuart Broad then take  double strike in his sixth over. First Test Match centurion Hamish Rutherford removed for 23 runs.

Then Stuart Broad dismissed Ross Taylor for a golden duck. Kane Williamson was unbeaten on 32 runs and Dean Brownlie not out on eight at Close. The brilliant 82 runs from wicketkeeper Matt Prior and Kevin Pietersen's realistic 73 runs provided the bulk of England's runs on day two after resumed at 2 for 267. Jonathan Trott dismissed by Trent Boult for 121 runs.

Shane Shillingford claimed 6 for 49 in the 2nd Innings guide West Indies thrash Zimbabwe in First Test Match at Barbados on Thursday.

Zimbabwe resumed Day three on 41 for 3 they lost seven wickets for just 66 runs. Shane Shillingford collapse the Zimbabwe innings with his six wickets. He already take 3 for 58 in first Innings. Zimbabwe all out for 107 in the 2nd Innings.

Trott and Compton sets up good start for England on Day 1


New Zealand admits their shabby bowling has handed England control of the second cricket Test on day one in Wellington. New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum gifted the visitors first use of a gracious Basin Reserve wicket and they take full advantage, scored 267 for 2 by stumps on Thursday.

Opener Nick Compton smashed a second hundred in consecutive innings while Jonathan Trott was still at the crease with 121 runs and this pair added 210 runs partnership for the second wicket against an unsuccessful home attack.

Jonathan Trott was classically simple but useful in raising his ninth hundred in 40 Tests Matches. Trott faced 234 deliveries hit 15 fours to continue a good series after scores of 45 and 52 in First Test. Nick Compton reached his first Test century in the second innings at first Test, was caught behind for 100 when trying to drive Bruce Martin midway through the last session.

He smashed 15 fours in 230 deliveries and further covered his hold on the opening berth for the upcoming Ashes series against Australia. Martin deserved the scalp to take 1 for 58. England were at their most creative in the third session after going to tea at 1 for 162 although Kevin Pietersen was  reaching 18, narrowly surviving a late lbw review off Boult.

The England were 75 for 1 at lunch, with Cook's dismissal the only hiccup, the captain strangely chipping Neil Wagner to mid-on when on 17 runs. New Zealand pace bowlers Wagner  taken 70 for 1 from his 22 overs, Southee 0 for 44 and Boult 0 for 78 his 20 overs spell.

Late wickets guide West Indies in Control on Day Two


West Indies take three Zimbabwe wickets late on day two to move into a dominating position in the first test in Barbados on Wednesday.

Zimbabwe made 41 for 3 at the close in their second innings, trailing home side by 55 runs, as they fighting with the fiery pace of the hosts three fast bowlers and the off-spinner Shane Shillingford.

The Zimbabwe skipper Brendan Taylor will resume on day three having yet to get off the mark and he will be key to Zimbabwe's chances of posting a fighting total. Nightwatchman Ray Price unbeaten on 7 was the other batsman remain at the crease. Zimbabwe faced a first innings deficit of almost a hundred and took their score to 25 before Tino Mawoyo made 9 

Hamilton Masakadza (1) gloved a Shillingford catch to Sammy at leg slip, before Vusi Sibanda (15) gift a easy catch and bowled chance to the same bowler to leave the visitors with their top three back in the pavilion.

Earlier, West Indies skipper Darren Sammy guide his team to a respectable first innings score as they were all out for 307 after recover from 151 for 6. Darren Sammy smashed 73 runs. He put on 106 runs stand for the seventh wicket with Denesh Ramdin. Resumed Day 2 on 18 for two, Chris Gayle scored 40, Darren Bravo made 11 and Marlon Samuels (51) dismissed before lunch.


Marlon Samuels's brilliant form continued as he passed 50 for the 10th time in his last 15 test innings. Shivnarine Chanderpaul (26) out just after lunch with the score on 151. But Darren Sammy and Ramdin (62) rebuild the situation with a century partnership.

Tino Best (24) contribute some runs down the bottom of the order, but when he was caught at point off Jarvis to close the innings, the Zimbabwe bowler had career best Bowling figures of five for 54.

Zimbabwe fight back after they bowled out for 211 on Day 1 of the First Test


Marlon Samuels claimed career best figures of 4 for 13 and his partner spinner Shane Shillingford take 3 for 58 as the West Indies all out Zimbabwe for 211 runs on day one of the opening Test on Tuesday. The Tourists fight back late in the day through fast bowler Kyle Jarvis (2 for 9), with the West Indies where 18 for 2 at the Stumps at Kensington Oval.

Zimbabwe's first innings total was build around opener Tino Mawoyo's top scorer of 50 runs but pacer Kemar Roach (2 for 31) and Shillingford dismissed the back of the top order before Samuels polished off the innings. Zimbabwe, batting after winning the toss, lost Vusi Sibanda made 12.

Mawoyo and Hamilton Masakadza added second wicket partnership of 42 runs before Roach struck again in his first over of a second spell. Zimbabwe reached 100 runs with just lose two wickets just after lunch but the hosts side dominated in the next two sessions.

The Mawoyo struck seven fours in an even fifty off 95 deliveries. Fast bowler Shannon Gabriel then got a wicked outswinging yorker to pluck out the off stump of skipper Brendan Taylor  for 26 as the Zimbabweans chipped down further to 110 for 4. Taylor, who smashed four boundaries, had put on 41 runs with Mawoyo. Zimbabwe were 162 for 6 at tea.

Regis Chakabva dropped by Tino Best at mid-off off Shillingford before the break, find a useful ally in Graeme Cremer on resumption and the pair put on seventh wicket partnership of 38 runs. Cremer was the more enterprising, hit three fours in 25 before he slashed to backward point off Samuels. Chakabva dismissed at the same total, prodding Shillingford to Kieran Powell at short leg after defying for 15 off 92 deliveries.

Marlon Samuels quickly wrapped up the innings with Jarvis (0) snared by Powell at bat-pad and Tendai Chatara (2) caught at mid-off as he attacked. Ray Price, who slammed a reverse sweep for four and a big six over midwicket, ended on 12 not out. Kyle Jarvis find a early wickets. Chris Gayle unbeaten on 11 runs and Darren Bravo not out on without score.

First Test between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka ends in draw


Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara finished his second hundred of the match as the First Test against Bangladesh ends in a draw on the fifth day in Galle on Tuesday.

Sangakkara smashed a fine 105 runs and opener Tillakaratne Dilshan an inspiring 126 as Sri Lanka declared their second innings at 335 for 4 at tea to set Bangladesh impossible 268 runs winning target in the final session. Bangladesh ended at 70 for 1 in their second innings.

The flat track at the Galle International Stadium gave eight centuries, equals the record of most tons in a Test Match between West Indies and South Africa match at Antigua in 2005. Sangakkara made his 32nd Test Match century, this was the highest by a Sri Lankan in Test Cricket. He hit 10 boundaries in his 172 ball innings.

Dilshan completed his 16th Test Match Hundred. Dilshan and Sangakkara dismissed in the space of 19 runs after lunch, They put on 213 runs for the second wicket. Bangladesh also produced a brilliant batting performance in the match as they made their highest Test total of 638 in their 1st innings on Monday in reply to Sri Lanka's 570 for 4 declared.

Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim top scorer with 200 runs, the first Test double hundred by a Bangladesh batsman. Mohammad Ashraful (190) and Nasir Hossain (100) were the other main run scorers. Musfiqur Rahim named for the Man of the Match award. The second and final Test starts in Colombo on Saturday.

Bangladesh skipper Rahim creates history with Double Century


Mushfiqur Rahim was became the first Bangladeshi to smashed a double hundred in Tests while Nasir Hossain made a first Test Match century as the visitors got a 68 runs lead in the first Test against Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh captain Rahim hit a brilliant 200 and Hossain an inspiring 100 as Bangladesh were all out for 638, this was their highest total in 76 Test Matches, in reply to Sri Lanka's first innings total of 570 for 4 declared.

Sri Lanka reached 116 for 1 in their second innings at stumps on the day four of the Test going for a draw in Galle. Opener Tillakaratne Dilshan was unbeaten on 63 and Kumar Sangakkara not out on 49 runs.

Bangladesh who dominated the match for a second consecutive day with their fine batting display, also became only the third team after India and Pakistan to post 600 or more in a Test innings in Sri Lanka.

Rahim overnight score 152 smashed one six and 22 fours in his solid 321 ball knock. He put on a record 267 runs Partnership for the fifth wicket with Mohammad Ashraful and 106 for the next with Hossain.

Ingram sets up big win for South Africa in First ODI


Colin Ingram made unbeaten century guide comfortable 125 runs victory for South Africa in the first ODI against Pakistan at Chevrolet Park on Sunday.

The Colin Ingram made unbeaten 105 runs as South Africa post 315 for 4 after being sent in to bat. Pakistan could only manage 190 runs in chase. Ingram made his runs off 103 deliveries included with ten boundaries. This was his third one day hundred and his second against Pakistan.

He put on partnerships of 120 runs for the third wicket with skipper AB de Villiers (65) and 62 runs for the fourth wicket with Faf du Plessis (26) and 50 off only 23 balls with Farhaan Behardien he was smashed 34 not out off 14 balls. Hashim Amla scored 43 runs before he was caught at deep square leg off Mohammad Hafeez. Pakistan made a good start with Mohammad Hafeez and Nasir Jamshed added 42 for the first wicket off 43 balls before they struggled a double blow.

Asad Shafiq dismissed cheaply and Pakistan were unable to build extensive partnerships with skipper Misbah-ul-Haq top scorer with 38 runs. Shahid Afridi quickfire 34 off 16 balls before he was last man out but his innings was never likely to alter the outcome. Afridi smashed three sixes, including a huge strike which sailed out of the ground and into a car park.

Kleinveldt ended with 4 for 22 in 5.2 overs and Ryan McLaren claimed 3 for 19. This win gave South Africa a 1-0 lead in the five match ODI series. The second match will starts on Centurion on Friday.

Ashraful and Rahim unbeaten partnership guide Bangladesh scored 438 for 4 on Day three


Mohammad Ashraful and Mushfiqur Rahim made brilliant unbeaten hundreds in a record partnership as Bangladesh commanding third day of the First Test against Sri Lanka in Galle on Sunday.

Mohammad Ashraful scored unbeaten 189 runs , This was the highest score by a Bangladeshi in Test Matches and Rahim made a career best undefeated 152 runs as the tourists made 438 for 4 in their first innings at stumps in reply to Sri Lanka's 1st Innings total 570 for 4 declared.

This 261 runs unbeaten partnership was Bangladesh's highest stand for any wicket in Tests Matches, the before best partnership being 200 runs for the 2nd wicket between Tamim Iqbal and Junaid Siddique against India in Dhaka in 2010. Bangladesh also passed their previous highest total of 413 against Sri Lanka in Tests.

The Bangladesh avoided the follow on in the third session, now trail by 132 runs with six wickets left. Mohammad Ashraful played his last Test in December 2011, smashed one six and 20 fours in his sixth Test century, and the fifth against Sri Lanka, while Rahim hit one six and 18 boundaries in his second Test hundred.

Debutant Mominul Haque also impressed, scoring an 83-ball 55 with nine fours. He added 105 for the third wicket with Ashraful before being caught at first slip by skipper Angelo Mathews off paceman Nuwan Kulasekara. Sri Lanka strike again when left-arm spinner Rangana Herath removed Mohammad Mahmudullah stumped for no score to reduce Bangladesh to 177 for 4 before Ashraful and Rahim rebuild the innings.

Finn saved the Match against New Zealand First Test ends in Draw


New Zealand's hope of winning the first Test against England were saved by nightwatchman Steven Finn he was batted almost six hours to guide the match to a draw on Sunday. New Zealand, ranked No.8 in the world, had the improved of world No.2 England through most of the match and still had chance of win when they lead by 59 at the start of the final day.

Steven Finn started before stumps on the Day four and batted until after tea on Sunday to dry New Zealand's push for victory, reaching his first fifty in Tests Match. England were 431 for 6 at stumps were drawn, leading by 128 runs with Ian Bell unbeaten on 26 and Matt Prior not out on 23 runs.

England's comeback after trailing by 293 runs on first innings, was set up by openers Alastair Cook and Nick Compton who both scored hundreds, it was Finn Day he sealed the draw. He came to bat the wicket when Alastair Cook was dismissed for 116 late on day four and batted determinedly into the match's last session.

After Finn wicket and England lost the wicket of Joe Root for a duck soon afterwards, New Zealand's hopes rose briefly. But Bell and Prior batted England on to a lead of 128 runs and when drinks were taken in the third session, New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum shake hands and acknowledged the draw. The second Test starts in Wellington on Thursday. 

Chandimal, Thirimanne maiden century set up Sri Lanka declared 570 on Day 2


Lahiru Thirimanne and Dinesh Chandimal smashed maiden Test hundreds put Sri Lanka control on the second day of the first Test against Bangladesh in Galle on Saturday.

Thirimanne made unbeaten 155 and Chandimal an undefeated 116 as the Sri Lanka declared their first innings at 570 for 4 after added 209 to their overnight score of 361 for 3 for the loss of just single wicket.

Bangladesh were 135 for 2 in their first innings at end of the Day 2, with Mohammad Ashraful was unbeaten on 65 and debutant Mominul Haque not out on 35.


Paceman Shaminda Eranga got first when he had opener Jahurul Islam  for 20 caught behind and then spinner Ajantha Mendis dismissed debutant Anamul Haque (13) in his first over to put pressure on Bangladesh. Ashraful then rebuild the innings as put on 70 runs for the unbeaten third wicket partnership with Mominul. 

Thirimanne, playing his 9th Test match, smashed 14 fours in his 256-ball knock while Dinesh Chandimal, in his sixth Test, hit two sixes and 12 boundaries in a 151 ball knock. This pair dominated the Bangladesh bowling attack for more than a session. Earlier Off spinner Gazi ended with 3 for 164, claimed all of his wickets on Day One. Seamer Abul Hasan was the other wicket-taker, finished with 1 for 112 runs.

Alastair Cook and Nick Cmpton ton leads England fight back


Alastair Cook and Nick Compton made some compensation for England's poor first innings by grinding out a 231 runs first wicket partnership to consume deep into New Zealand's lead of 293 runs on the fourth day of the first test on Saturday.

England skipper Cook was removed just before stumps for 116 runs, leaving Nick Compton to resume on the fifth and final day of the match on unbeaten 102 along with night watchman Steven Finn on without score.

England finished the day four on 234 for 1, short of just 59 runs of New Zealand first innings lead after apply themselves far more attentively than in their first innings, when they were all out for 167 runs. Cook and Compton's passed the 223 runs put on by Graeme Fowler and Chris Tavare in 1984 as the highest England opening partnership in a test against New Zealand.

Alastair Cook finished his 24th test hundred with a propel around the corner off Bruce Martin for his 13th boundary, prompting a standing ovation from the crowd. The 29-year old Nick Compton made his first test century two balls later with a push into the leg side for a single and emitted a roar of delight as he cantered down the wicket.

India beat Australia by Innings and 135 runs in 2nd Test and lead series 2-0


India thrash Australia by taking a 2-0 lead in the four match Test series with a huge win by an innings and 135 runs on Tuesday.

India win in Hyderabad came at lunch on day 4 with spinners Ravichandran Ashwin (5 for 63) and Ravindra  Jadeja (3 for 33) in leading form. Australia Resumed on day four on 74 for and Australia were all out for 131 runs. This was a Australia's first innings loss since the 2010-11 Ashes series.

Opener Ed Cowan top scorer with 44 runs in a awful collapse of 56 for 8 from Australia's batsmen which followed their eight wicket loss in the first Test in Chennai.

Shane Watson (9) was trapped down legside off the bowling of Ishant Sharma in the third over of the day 4. The spirits of the Australia dressing room sink when their in form captain Michael Clarke (16) was bowled by a  dreaming delivery by Jadeja at 4 for 108.

Australia 74/2 at Stumps on Day 3 still trail by 192 runs


Australia will cover to fight a rearguard battle to keep the second Test against India in Hyderabad, after losing early wickets late on day 3 stumps.

At the end of the Day 3 Australia where 74 for 2 in its second innings, tourists still trailing by 192 runs with two days left. Earlier, Australia's bowlers fight back, as India lost 9 wickets for just 116 to be bowled out for 503.

Australia's openers David Warner and Ed Cowan made a good start on a rotating deck, with an opening stand of 56 runs before Warner tried to sweep Ravichandran Ashwin and was removed for 26 runs.

Ashwin also removed Phillip Hughes on same manner. Cowan and number four Shane Watson survived remain at stumps, with Cowan unbeaten on 26 and Watson on 9 with a huge six.


India had resumed Day 3 on 1 for 311, and the visitors struggled early to stop the partnership between Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara, which reached 370 runs before Glenn Maxwell made the breakthrough before lunch. Vijay scored  167 runs.

Pujara scored his second double ton soon after, before dismissed to a Xavier Doherty catch off the bowling of James Pattinson for 204 runs. India was 3 for 400 at lunch, but the 2nd session maxim a stream of wickets fall, as Maxwell and Doherty take advantage of rising turn and bounce.

MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli then put on 56 runs for the fifth wicket, before Dhoni was caught by Xavier Doherty off Glen Maxwell for 44 runs. For Australia, Maxwell claimed 4 for 127, Doherty take 3 for 131, Pattinson got 2 for 80 and Peter Siddle had 1 for 92.

West Indies beat Zimbabwe by 41 runs and win the Series 2-0


2012 ICC Twenty20 world Cup title winners West Indies taste a 2nd easy victory over Zimbabwe with a 41 run win in Antigua on Sunday.

Lendl Simmons keep his fine form with 41 runs and Kieron Pollard scored an unbeaten 45 runs from 39 balls as West Indies made 158 for 7 in  20 overs.

Zimbabwe got a poor start in reply with West Indies leg spinner Samuel Badree taking three wickets to have the Zimbabwe struggling at 33 for 3 in the 8th over.

The run chase never looked on from that point, Hamilton Masakadza scored an unbeaten 53 runs runs with small contribute at the other end.

West Indies won the two match series 2-0. Simmons slashed six sixes in an unbeaten 63 knock on Saturday to guide his side to a easy eight wicket victory. A two match test series between the both sides starts in Barbados on March 12.

Pakistan beat South Africa by 95 runs in the 2nd Twenty20


Mohammad Hafeez and Umar Gul helped Pakistan to beat South Africa in the 2nd Twenty 20 International at Centurion on Sunday.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistan Openers made good start. Ahmed Shehzad scored 46 runs. Mohammad Haffez was top scorer for Pakistan with 86 runs included 9 fours and four sixes. Hafeez was the first Pakistan player to score 1000 runs in T20 Format and this knock was his carrier best. 

Pakistan ended their 1st Innings 195 for 7 in 20 overs. Rory Kleinveldt and Chris Morris take two wickets each. In the chasing struggled to score runs. AB de Villiers top scorer for South Africa with 36 runs and Kleiveldt made 22 runs. South Africa's three players out for duck. Umar Gul showed brilliant bowling spell he claimed five wickets for just 6 runs in 2.2 overs. Hafeez take 3 for 25. 

South Africa all out for 100 runs in 12.2 overs. Mohammad Haffez won the Man of the Match award for his carrier best 86 runs.

Pujara, Vijay undefeated 294 Stand sets up India gain 74 runs lead on Day 2


India is on way to bat Australia away of the second Test in Hyderabad after a spectacular performance brought the hosts side to a lead of 74 runs with nine wickets remaining at sumps on day two.

The India resumed the day on 5 for 0, but Australia had a little early success when Peter Siddle dismissed opener Virender Sehwag for 6 to leave India 1 for 17. This was the high point of the day for Australia, however, as Cheteshwar Pujara and Murali Vijay reserved their wickets for the rest of the day.

The pair was careful batting in the first session after Sehwag's dismissal, seeing India through to lunch at 54 for 1. But the last two sessions put a totally different nature on the match. as Pujara and Vijay take to the Australian bowling with a vengeance.



The third session was even poorer for the Australia, as a tiring bowling attack was taken apart by the Indian pair. Pujara finished his century, then came the 200 partnership and finally Vijay completed his hundred with a boundary off Xavier Doherty (0 for 85).

The remainder of the day saw more punishment meted out to the Australian bowlers, with David Warner going for 14 off his single over and Glenn Maxwell 0 for 55 off his 10 overs. Moises Henriques was the mainly impressive of the Australian bowlers, conceding 0 for 38 from his 19 overs, including seven maidens.

At stumps Murali Vijay was unbeaten on 129 with 17 fours and two sixes, while Cheteshwar Pujara was not out on 162, included with 25 fours and one six. India seem set for a big total, and the pressure will be on the visitors on day three.

West Indies beat Zimbabwe by eight wickets in First T20


Lendl Simmons smashed six sixes as his undefeated 63 runs helped West Indies to a easy eight wicket win over Zimbabwe in the 1st of two T20 internationals in Antigua on Saturday.

Batting first, Zimbabwe were reduced to 130 for 8 with West Indies fast bowler Tino Best grabbed  3 for 18 in his four overs spell.

Best dismissed both Zimbabwe openers Vusi Sibanda (13) and Hamilton Masakadza (9) cheaply as the visitors struggled at 28 for 3.

Craig Ervine (34) and Malcolm Waller (49) guide together and rebuild the Zimbabwe innings with a 60 runs partnership in ten overs but the lower middle order were unable to utilize.

In Chasing, Simmons was well supported by Johnson Charles, this pair added on 30 inside four overs before Charles was trapped lbw by Chris Mpofu.

Mpofu then dismissed Darren Bravo for a duck, the left hander's attempted pull looped up to Chamu Chibhabha, to offer Zimbabwe a brief opening.

But  Dwayne Bravo came in to bat and smashed 38 from 30 deliveries as he and Simmons, with their 85 runs stand, West Indies team chased the target with 23 balls left.

The 2nd and final match of the series will also be played at the Sir Vivian Richards stadium in North Sound on Sunday.

Ravindra Jadeja and Bhuvneshwar Kumar stun Australia on Day 1


Ravinder Jadeja late strikes in last Session and Bhuvneshwar Kumar collapse in first session. Australia declared their 1st Innings 237 for 9. India 5 for no loss on Day 1 in 2nd Test at Hyderabad on Saturday.

Michael Clarke top scorer for Australia with 91 runs included with nine fours and 1 six. Ravindra jadeja claimed 3 for 33 runs and Bhuvneshwar Kumar take 3 for 53. Harbhajan Singh got 2 and Ashwin take 1 wicket.
